This Privacy Policy sets out how Haulerr uses and protects any information that you provide when using the Haulerr website or mobile application for Customers and Driver Partners.

This Privacy Policy is an electronic record between you and Haulerr under the Information Technology Act, 2000, together with the rules framed from time to time.

Your privacy matters to Haulerr (the “Company”, “we”, “Haulerr”, or “us”). This Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures regarding the collection, use, disclosure, storage, and protection of your information when you use our website at

The terms “you” and “your” refer to users of the Haulerr App, including an Enterprise Customer or any person authorized by an Enterprise Customer. The term “Services” refers to services offered by Haulerr through the Haulerr App or otherwise.

This Policy forms part of and must be read together with the applicable Terms & Conditions and Driver Partner Terms & Conditions.

By using the Haulerr App or Services, you consent to the collection, transfer, use, storage, disclosure, and sharing of your information as described in this Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not access or use the Haulerr App.

Haulerr may update this Policy from time to time. You should review this page periodically to remain informed about any changes.

What We Collect

We may collect the following information:

  • Name and job title.
  • Contact information, including email address and mobile number.
  • Demographic and account information, including postcode, address, login name, preferences, and interests.
  • Information relating to your use of the Services, including your phone number, address, email address, billing details, and invoices.
  • Information relevant to customer surveys and promotional offers.
  • App installation, uninstallation, and information about other installed applications, where permitted.
  • Where you register as a Driver Partner, we may collect your location, profile picture, government-issued identity documents, KYC documents, bank account details, utility bills, and vehicle-related documents.
  • Vehicle documents may include registration certificates, insurance, pollution certificates, driving licences, and vehicle fitness documents.
  • Call and SMS-related details that may be shared with customers while providing the Services.
  • Driver Partner background-check and identity-verification information, including driving history, criminal-record information where permitted by law, and proof of the right to work.
  • With your consent, information required to access device features or applications for fraud-prevention purposes.
  • Contact numbers selected and shared by a Driver Partner participating in a referral programme.

You may request a review of the information you have provided. Haulerr will take reasonable steps to correct or amend personal information or sensitive personal data found to be inaccurate or incomplete, where feasible.

Haulerr will not retain sensitive personal data longer than required for the lawful purposes for which it was collected.

What We Do With the Information We Gather

We use the information to understand your requirements, operate the Haulerr App, and provide better Services.

We may use your information to:

  • Allow you to use the Services and perform our obligations under contracts entered into between you and Haulerr.
  • Enable you to initiate and complete transactions.
  • Manage your Haulerr account and understand your app usage.
  • Process payments relating to transactions and provide related Services.
  • Respond to comments, reviews, questions, and customer-support requests.
  • Communicate important notices, updates, and changes to the Services.
  • Track order status and the delivery or processing of Services.
  • Improve, personalize, and develop the Haulerr App and Services.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. We do not retain information longer than reasonably necessary for providing the Services or for any period required under applicable Indian law.

You are responsible for keeping your account information and other data obtained through the Haulerr App confidential.

Disclosure

We may disclose certain personally identifiable information to third-party service providers, including:

  • Information you provide, such as your name, email address, mobile number, and language preference.
  • Information collected while you access or use the Services, including device information, location information, and network carrier information.

Where permission is enabled, we may collect precise or approximate foreground location data from your mobile device. Haulerr may collect such data from the time a Service is requested until it is completed and while the app is running in the foreground.

Location information may be used to improve pick-up accuracy, provide safety features, prevent and detect fraud, generate receipts, provide customer support, and associate Driver Partner trip information with a customer’s account.

Information may be shared with contracted third-party service providers for:

  • Personalizing the Haulerr App and improving user experience.
  • Performing behavioural analytics.
  • Supporting Services through vendors, consultants, marketing partners, research firms, payment processors, and business partners.
  • Carrying out academic research with academic partners.
  • Sharing a Driver Partner’s name, phone number, and profile picture with users where necessary to provide the Services.

We may disclose information to government authorities, law enforcement agencies, or organizations assisting us when required by applicable law, a lawful order, or a legal process.

Information may also be disclosed where necessary to prevent or investigate identity theft, fraud, abuse of Services, or other unlawful activity.

We may share information with our parent company, subsidiaries, or affiliates for legitimate internal or business purposes.

We may also disclose or transfer information in connection with a merger, consolidation, restructuring, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business or assets.

Deletion of Information

Upon deletion of your Haulerr account, or after receiving a written deletion request, we will delete your personal information except where retention is necessary for safety, security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, enforcement of rights, dispute resolution, or legitimate business requirements.

Certain information, including geolocation, trip records, transaction history, and related data, may be retained where legally or operationally required.

After deletion of personal information, Haulerr may be unable to provide Services for which that information was necessary.

Prohibited Activities

In accordance with Rule 3(1)(b) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, you must not host, display, upload, modify, publish, transmit, store, update, or share information that:

  • Belongs to another person and for which you do not have the necessary rights.
  • Is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, invasive of another person’s privacy, insulting, harassing, libellous, racially or ethnically objectionable, or contrary to applicable law.
  • Is harmful to children.
  • Infringes any patent, trademark, copyright, or other proprietary right.
  • Violates any law in force.
  • Deceives or misleads the recipient about the origin of a message.
  • Knowingly communicates false or misleading information that may reasonably be perceived as fact.
  • Impersonates another person.
  • Threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security, or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with foreign states, or public order.
  • Contains a software virus or other code, file, or program intended to interrupt, destroy, or limit the functionality of a computer resource.
  • Is patently false or untrue and is published with intent to mislead, harass, cause financial gain, or cause injury.

In the event of non-compliance with applicable laws, this Policy, or the Terms & Conditions, Haulerr may immediately suspend or terminate a user’s access to the Haulerr App, remove non-compliant information, or take both actions.

Withdrawal or Non-Provision of Data

You may choose not to provide requested information. You may also withdraw previously given consent at any time by sending a written request to Haulerr.

Where required information is not provided, or consent is withdrawn, Haulerr may be unable to provide Services for which that information is necessary.

How We Use Cookies
